02 — A few useful details
Base64 is an encoding, not encryption. Standard + and / symbols are supported; Base64url is not. Decoding rejects binary data that is not valid UTF-8. The result must fit the 1 MB limit.
Use UTF-8 plain text, up to 1 MB and 20,000 lines per input.

Common questions
Is Base64 encryption?
No. Base64 is reversible encoding, not password protection. This tool encodes text as UTF-8 and requires valid UTF-8 text when decoding. It is not a binary file converter.
Which files can I import?
Paste plain text or import UTF-8 .txt files, up to 1 MB and 20,000 lines per input. PDF, Word documents and images are not supported directly; extract the plain text first. Text stays in the current tab's memory.
